KNAUF TRAINING ACADEMY ASTM SOLUTION IN GERMANY
On the February 6th, 2014, Knauf UAE took a big step towards fulfilling ASTM systems and solutions’ future development and training. The first ever ASTM seminar was held at the Knauf headquarters in Iphofen, Germany where both Mr. Lee Evans and Mr. Nicolas Neusuess were invited to raise awareness by showcasing a presentation on international building codes, ASTM Standards compared to EN standards, compliance, and certified Intertek listed products.
The seminar covered topics including the use of gypsum association manual and specifications, and concluded with a Q&A session. The seminar has not only generated a lot of buzz and great interest, its success has led to the possibility of organizing more events such as this one for other divisions of Knauf group.
This was the first internal ASTM-related workshop/seminar held within the Knauf group. The objective was to have open discussions as well as exchange of information related to the IBC. The workshop aimed at seeking answers pertaining to ways of implementing new standards within the company from production to the ready and certified product.
